Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
Athlete Mogul (“Athlete Mogul”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to this website only. It does not cover information you give us offline, by email or text, or in the course of an advising engagement with a client.
The short version
- We do not run advertising, remarketing or social-media tracking pixels on this site. There is no Google Tag Manager container, no Meta pixel and no LinkedIn tag.
- We do not sell your personal information for money.
- Our web host includes a built-in website analytics tool that counts visits and page-load times. It is switched off until you accept the Analytics category.
- Our NIL page embeds a YouTube video. YouTube sets its own cookies and may use them for advertising, so it is switched off until you accept the Marketing and Embedded Content category.
- You can review, change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link at the bottom of every page.
Information we collect
Information you give us
You only give us information if you choose to fill in one of our forms. This website has two: the enquiry form on our home page and the form on our Work With Us page. Both ask for the contact details and message you choose to provide so that we can reply. Form submissions are delivered to us by email. They are not published, and they are not used to build a marketing profile or added to any advertising audience.
Both forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which is described under Cookies and similar technologies below.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually every website, our hosting server keeps standard access logs — your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page and your browser’s user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the site available and secure (for example, to identify attacks or diagnose errors). They are not used to track individuals or to build profiles.
Our consent tool also records your cookie choice itself — the categories you accepted or rejected, a one-way hashed version of your IP address and user-agent, the time of the choice, and whether your browser sent a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. This record exists so that we can demonstrate that consent was properly obtained, as data-protection law requires.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. The table below lists every cookie this site can set, grouped by the consent category that controls it. Cookies in the strictly necessary group are always active; everything else loads only after you opt in.
Always active
These cookies are required for the site to work and stay secure:
- Your cookie choice. Our consent tool stores the categories you accepted or rejected so we do not have to ask again on every page.
- Cloudflare bot protection. This site sits behind Cloudflare, a security network that screens automated traffic before it reaches our server. Cloudflare sets a cookie called
__cf_bmfor about thirty minutes to tell human visitors apart from bots. It is a security measure: it is not used to track you across other websites and it is not used for advertising. Because it is set by the security layer in front of the site, it is applied before any consent choice can be made. - Google reCAPTCHA. Both of our forms use reCAPTCHA to block automated spam submissions. It loads from google.com and gstatic.com and may set cookies in your browser as part of deciding whether you are human. We treat it as strictly necessary because without it the forms cannot be protected from abuse; if it were blocked, the forms could not be submitted at all. Google acts as our provider for this purpose and its own privacy policy applies to the data it processes.
- Animation library. The scrolling animations on this site are powered by GSAP, loaded from the public cdnjs.cloudflare.com library. It sets no cookies, but requesting the file does reveal your IP address to that provider. The site’s layout depends on it, so it is treated as strictly necessary.
- WordPress. The website platform sets a small number of technical cookies, including one that checks whether your browser accepts cookies at all, and sign-in cookies that are only ever set for site administrators.
All of the typefaces used on this site are served from our own domain, so no font provider is contacted when you view a page.
Analytics — off until you opt in
Our hosting provider, GoDaddy, includes a built-in website analytics tool. When enabled it loads scripts from img1.wsimg.com, reports to csp.secureserver.net, and sets the cookies _tccl_visitor, _tccl_visit and _scc_session to count visits, group page views into a single session, and measure how quickly pages load. We use it only to understand how the site is found and used. If you decline this category, those scripts are blocked and none of those cookies are set.
Marketing and embedded content — off until you opt in
We run no advertising pixels of our own. The one third party that can receive information about your visit is YouTube, through the video embedded on our NIL page. When that video loads, YouTube sets cookies including YSC, VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA, __Secure-YNID and __Secure-ROLLOUT_TOKEN, and may use them to measure and personalise advertising across the sites you visit. If you decline this category the video is replaced by a placeholder and nothing is sent to YouTube until you choose to load it.
The complete list of cookies, with durations and descriptions, is below.
Strictly Necessary
| Cookie | Domain | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| fazcookie-consent | athletemogul.com | 12 months | Stores your cookie-consent choices for this site so we do not have to ask again on every visit. |
| __cf_bm | athletemogul.com | 30 minutes | Set by Cloudflare, the security network in front of this site, to tell human visitors apart from automated bots. It is a security measure and is not used to track you across websites or to target advertising. |
Analytics
| Cookie | Domain | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| _tccl_visitor | athletemogul.com | 1 year | Set by our hosting provider GoDaddy's built-in website analytics. Assigns a random identifier to your browser so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor. |
| _tccl_visit | athletemogul.com | 30 minutes | Set by GoDaddy's built-in website analytics to group the pages you view into a single visit. |
| _scc_session | athletemogul.com | 20 minutes | Set by GoDaddy's website analytics script to hold the current session while it measures page views and page-load timing. |
Marketing and Embedded Content
| Cookie | Domain | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| YSC | youtube.com | Session | Set by YouTube when the embedded video on the NIL page loads. Records a unique id for the session so YouTube can count video views. |
| VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE | youtube.com | 6 months | Set by YouTube to estimate your bandwidth and decide which video quality to serve. YouTube also uses it to measure and personalise advertising. |
| VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA | youtube.com | 6 months | Set by YouTube to record your privacy and consent choices for the embedded player. |
| __Secure-YNID | youtube.com | 6 months | Set by YouTube as a secure identifier used for preferences and advertising measurement on the embedded player. |
| __Secure-ROLLOUT_TOKEN | youtube.com | 6 months | Set by YouTube to control which version of the embedded player features you are served. |
Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies directly. Because the strictly necessary cookies above are the ones that make the site work and remember your choice, blocking them may mean the consent banner reappears on every visit.
How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and discuss whether our advising services are a fit for you.
- To keep the website available, performant and secure, and to prevent abuse and spam.
- To understand how the site is used, where you have allowed analytics.
- To honour and evidence your cookie and privacy choices.
- To meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases are: your consent for any non-essential cookie (which you may withdraw at any time); steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract for enquiry handling; and our legitimate interests in running a secure website and responding to people who contact us.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We disclose it only to:
- Our hosting and email providers, who store the site and deliver form submissions to our inbox on our instructions, and whose analytics tool is described above.
- Cloudflare, which screens traffic to the site for security purposes.
- Google, which provides the reCAPTCHA protection on our forms and, if you accept the marketing category, operates the YouTube player embedded on our NIL page.
- Professional advisers or authorities, where we are legally required to do so or need to establish or defend a legal claim.
Some of our pages link out to other services — for example our merchandise store, and the social-media profiles of the athletes we work with. Those are separate websites with their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept in our email system for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, and to keep an ordinary business record afterwards. Server access logs are held for a short period on a rolling basis. Consent records are kept for as long as needed to evidence your choice. You can ask us to delete information about you at any time using the contact details below.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask us to stop sending you marketing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.
Your cookie choices
You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer of every page. That link reopens our consent panel, where you can switch individual categories on or off. It is the way to withdraw consent on this site — we deliberately do not show a floating cookie icon, so the footer link is the control to use.
California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, allowing an embedded YouTube video to load lets Google receive information about your visit and potentially use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, which California law can treat as a “sale” or “share”. You can opt out of that at any time using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer, which switches off the Marketing and Embedded Content category. We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal automatically: if your browser sends one, we treat it as an opt-out without you having to do anything.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Children
This website is aimed at professional and collegiate athletes and the people who advise them. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some visitors to our NIL pages may be student athletes under 18; we still collect nothing beyond what is described in this policy, and we do not build advertising profiles of any visitor. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, sits behind a security network that screens automated traffic, and our forms are protected against automated abuse. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the limited information this site collects.
Changes to this policy
If we add a new tool to this website — an analytics platform, an advertising pixel, a booking widget or a chat service — we will update this policy and the cookie table above before or at the time it goes live, and any non-essential tool will be blocked until you consent to it. The “last updated” date at the top tells you when this policy last changed.
